Itinerary
Day 1 TRIVANDRUM – KOVALAM
Arrival Trivandrum Airport /Railway station and transfer to Kovalam. Afternoon proceed for a half day city tour of Trivandrum. The main attractions include famous Padmanabha Swami temple, Kuthiramalika (Horse palace) is a beautiful palace museum situated close to the temple. Proceed to visit the “Napier Museum” – one of the famous history museums in Kerala,return back to Kovalam. (Overnight at hotel in Kovalam).
Day 2 KOVALAM
Full day leisure at Kovalam Beach for exploring nearby places. Evening enjoy the sun set at beach side.
Day 3 KOVALAM -KANYAKUMARI
After breakfast check out and drive to Kanyakumari (cape comorin). Enroute visit the famous “Padmanabapuram Palace”. This is a 16th century wooden palace, which was the residence of the Travancore king is yet another pride of art and architecture. Later proceed to visit the “Suchindram Temple “. This 17th century temple famous about its architecture. One of the main attractions here is the 22ft high statue of Hanuman (Aanjaneya). Check in to Kanyakumari hotel and later for sightseeing visiting places of interest such as The Kumari Amman Temple – the shrine of Devi Kanya Kumari. Vivekananda Rock Memorial – stands on one of two rocks located about 500 meters off the mainland. Gandhi Mandapam . Thiruvalluvar Statue – the famous poet who recited Thirukkural. Evening enjoy the sun set at Kanyakumari.
Day 4 KANYAKUMARI – RAMESHWARAM
After early breakfast drive to Rameshwaram visit famous Ramanatha Swamy Temple, Gandhmadhana Parvatham, Hanuman temple and Dhanushkodi(optional). Navpanigriham, Kashi Vishwanatha Temple, 24 Kundalas, Ram Paravath, Sita Paravath, Hanuman Paravath, (Overnight at hotel in Rameshwaram).
Day 5 RAMESHWARAM – MADURAI
After breakfast start drive to Madurai. Sightseeing tour of Madurai visiting – the famous “Meenakshi Amman Temple” dedicated to goddess Parvati. Though it is famous by the name of goddess Meenakshi, the temple is also dedicated to her consort lord Shiva as Sundareshwar. Onward visit the beautiful Tirumalai Nayak palace – a 17th century marvel with beautiful architecture. In the evening visit to ‘Tiruparankundram’ a temple dedicated to the Lord Murugan and is famous as one of the six abodes of Lord Subramanyan. Overnight stay at hotel in Madurai.
Day 6 DEPARTURE FROM MADURAI
Breakfast at residing hotel and the tour ends today with a departure transfer from Madurai for your onward journey.
