Itinerary

Day 1 Chennai – Tirupati

ChennaiUpon arrival at Chennai, our representative will greet you and offer assistance. We can have our dinner either at Chennai or on the way to Tirupati (about 150 kilometres from Chennai), considering the train timings. Reach Tirupati, and check into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 Tirupati

TirupatiThis day will be dedicated to a unique spiritual experience at Tirumala Venkateswara Temple – the most visited place of worship in the world as well as the highest grossing one. This celebrated temple is located at Tirupati in Chittor district of Andhra Pradesh. Leave the hotel for Tirupati Temple Darshan early morning. We can spend the entire day at the temple enjoying the divine & serene ambiance. Lunch will be provided at nearby hotel. At evening, return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 Tirupati – Trichy

TrichyLeave from hotel at 05:00 am for Trichy, an amazing city in Tamil Nadu which is believed have to have been named after the three-headed demon ‘Trishira’ of Hindu mythology. It’s a 10 hours journey and we can have breakfast and lunch on the way to Trichy. Reach Trichy and Check in at hotel. Then it’s time for a brief exploration of Trichy. This place has witnessed the rise and fall of many empires like Cholas, Pandyas, and Pallavas. Take time to tour this city of many historical wonders. We can also visit temples of historical prominence (like Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam, the Jambukeswarar temple at Thiruvanaikaval and the Rock Fort temple – subject to time). Reach back the hotel and have dinner. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4 Trichy – Madurai

MaduraiLeave from hotel at 05:00 hrs. Have Breakfast on the way. Lunch on the way. Reach Madurai. Visit the famous Meenakshi Sundareswar Temple one of the largest temple complexes in the world, and afterwards take rest for some time. Then go for a pleasant sight-seeing and shopping at Madurai. Overnight stay at Madurai.

Day 5 Madurai -Rameshwarom – Madurai

RAMESHWARAMEarly morning let us set for Rameshwaram for Rameshwaram temple darshan. The Ramanatha Swamy Temple at Rameshwaram is one of the 12 sacred Jyothir Linga temples in India (and the only one located in South India). Explore this large temple premises that dates back to thousands of years. Its temple corridors are regarded as the longest of its kind in the world! Have lunch. In the evening get back Madurai. Overnight stay at Madurai.

Day 6 Madurai – Kanyakumari

DEPARTURE FROM MADURAI<After breakfast, check out and drive to Kanyakumari – the southernmost tip of Indian subcontinent, a popular tourist place in Tamil Nadu which is also referred as Cape Comorin. Lunch at en-route Thothukkudy. Upon arrival at Kanyakumari, check in at hotel. Enjoy the sunset at Kanyakumari and you will understand why this place is mainly famous for its sunset – Kanyakumari’s unique geographical location provides best sunset and sunrise views at the same spot! Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 Kanyakumari – Trivandrum

DEPARTURE FROM MADURAI<Enjoy sunrise at Kanyakumari which is as scintillating view as that of the sunset. After breakfast at hotel, check out and proceed for Kanyakumari local sightseeing. There are many wonderful options at Kanyakumari for a discerning visitor. The 133 feet-tall Thiruvalluvar Statue, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Mandapam, The Kumari Amman Temple…These are just a few options in the long list of must-see spots. After lunch, leave Kanyakumari and proceed for Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. Then check in at the hotel and have dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8 Trivandrum Departure

DEPARTURE FROM MADURAI<Breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit the most famous shrine of the state capital – the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu (in a rare relining posture), the family deity of former Travancore royal lineage. The sanctum sanctorum, which is the abode Lord Sri Padmanabha who reclines on the serpent Anantha or Adi Sesha, will definitely leave any visitor spellbound with its architectural eminence. Lunch at Trivandrum or, on the way to the beach haven Kovalam. En route visit the Lord Parasurama Temple at Tiruvallam, regarded as the only temple in the state dedicated to Parasurama – the mythological founder of Kerala. Afterwards proceed to Kovalam, where you can relax beside the soothing beauty of three crescent shaped beaches. Evening proceed to Trivandrum railway station for departure.
