Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Cochin
On arrival at Cochin Airport, meet and transfer to Hotel. Depart for a half-day sightseeing tour of Cochin covering the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jew Town, St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets.Overnight, stay at Hotel.
Drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill station on the Western Ghats known for its tea gardens. On arrival, check into a Resort for a 2 nights stay. Rest of the day you are free to relax. At night stay in hotel at Munnar.
Morning, drive to the Munnar hills to visit Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam, the scattered villages and later to visit the tea museum. At night stay in hotel at Munnar.
Morning, checkout and drive to Periyar, a land of unending chains of hills, spice scented plantations and elephants. On arrival, check into the hotel. Evening, go for a 2-hour boat cruise in the lake to watch wild animals. At night stay in hotel at Thekkady.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. Alappuzha is the Venice of the East; the backwater destinations of Kerala. Arrive and check in to Houseboat (12 Noon) and begin your journey through the picturesque backwaters, narrow canals and small lakes of Kerala. Your houseboat has bedrooms with attached toilet & modern amenities, a dining area cum sit out. There will be 3 accompanying staff in the boat. Driver, helper and one cook. Lunch, Evening Tea, Snacks and Dinner will be cooked and served on board. Overnight stay at Houseboat.
Disembark from Houseboat and proceed to Cochin. Drop off at Cochin Airport/Railway station. Back to home with sweet memories of God’s own country.
